CloudEdge, , together with Tectika, recently completed a strategic project to establish a secure enterprise AI infrastructure at Kornit Digital. The innovative platform enables Kornit employees to leverage advanced artificial intelligence capabilities based on the company’s data, systems and internal terminology, without exposing sensitive information outside the organization.
Kornit Digital, a leading global company that develops digital printing solutions for the textile industry and employs approximately 800 people worldwide, sought to address one of the key challenges facing CIOs and technology leaders today: how to enable rapid AI adoption across the organization without creating tool sprawl, multiple licenses, high consumption costs and information security risks. Rather than allowing each department to adopt an isolated point solution, Kornit chose a forward-looking approach: building a single, secure and managed enterprise-wide infrastructure capable of supporting a broad range of business processes.
The Breakthrough: A Smart Hybrid Architecture
The solution built for Kornit is based on an innovative hybrid, multi-layered approach. The infrastructure connects directly to the company’s core systems, including its CRM and ERP platforms, as well as complex enterprise knowledge repositories such as SharePoint. It also incorporates a local open-source model that was specifically trained on Kornit’s data. This architecture enables the platform to provide accurate answers grounded in the organizational context and the company’s internal terminology, while fully respecting each user’s existing access permissions.

One of the project’s most significant economic advantages is the use of the local model, which enables Kornit to keep sensitive knowledge in-house, dramatically reduce ongoing consumption costs and process a high volume of queries without incurring continuous token costs for external models. Beyond the technological dimension, Kornit placed significant emphasis on implementation and user adoption. The pilot began with a dedicated group of users selected to serve as the organization’s early adopters. They ask questions, rate the quality of the answers, provide real-time feedback and directly contribute to improving the model. At a later stage, they are expected to act as change agents as the platform is rolled out more broadly across the company.
